love, love, love {stripes}

So much so that I have an entire board dedicated to stripes on Pinterest titled "sucker for stripes".  At this point its more of an obsession.  I wear stripes, I dress my boys in stripes, everything shirt I buy my husband ends up being striped, I decorate my home with stripes, the list goes on........ I mean what's not to love about something so simple and classic?  As I'm typing this I'm thinking, why the heck don't we make a striped Fridge Coaster?  New print coming soon?

Spring is finally here!  Brighten up your most used space with some fun and sunny accessories.

Kitchen with dark walls?

I've been thinking about a kitchen re-vamp for a while now.  We have a VERY bright and open kitchen/dining area with ivory cabinets (see here).  Deep, dark blues have been catching my eye lately and I think this is the one room in the house where we could get away with a color like that.  Thoughts?

First project of the New Year {complete}

Well, at least I can cross one thing off my home project list for 2013!  It's something small but something I've wanted to complete for a very long time; a gallery wall in our entry way.  I love the way it turned out and am so happy that we've finally displayed some family photos.

This picture is a little more accurate of how it looks on a day to day basis, jackets, vest, backpack ect.  Just tried to make it "pretty" for the first couple of shots :)

how do you accessorize {your fridge}

This may sound silly but having a clean, well organized refrigerator may actually help you eat healthier.   Categorizing and containing healthy snacks front and center, in an appealing way, will automatically have you reaching for those blueberries or raspberries instead of the potato chips in the pantry.  It's a well documented fact that you eat with your eyes first so why not add some of these adorable accessories to keep you on track.

These colanders are what I'm currently using.  They were purchased at World Market last year.

 I plan on upgrading to some ceramic berry baskets as soon as I can decide on a color
